the Preserve email list
The Preserve email list is used to send an email newsletter 3
times per year to anyone interested in learning more about the Preserve.
It includes
- a calendar of events relating to the Preserve,
- lists of natural phenomena to watch for during a given season,
- brief descriptions of current stewardship projects,
and other information likely to be of interest to Preserve visitors and
volunteers.
The email list will occasionally be used to distribute reminders about
upcoming events, and important news items relating to the Preserve. The
list is shared with the Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve, which
also uses it to send out occasional announcements and news concerning
the Friends' activities.
We are well aware that many people do not welcome floods of emails from
the lists to which they subscribe, so we promise to use this list only
occasionally, and only for messages we believe will be truly of interest
to Preserve visitors.
Because you subscribe to the list yourself, you have complete control
over your subscription. You can un-subscribe at any time by using the

- Only authorized Lakeshore Nature Preserve staffers and officers of
the Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve can post messages to this
list, so you should not receive spam from it. Please notify us immediately
if you believe you have received spam from this list.
- You will receive a confirmation message right after you subscribe
to the list. If you do not receive such a message, you may need to check
and reset your spam filter to make sure these communications get through
to you.
- Other members cannot "see" or obtain your email address.
- We will only use this list to share information that is directly relevant
to the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. Only managers of the Lakeshore Nature
Preserve and officers of the Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve
are able to use it for sending messages.
